InvestiDate: How to Investigate Your Date is a fun, tongue-in-cheek, secret weapon-like book and series of workshops that help men and women maneuver through this minefield called love.
It was created by Maria Coder, Latina dating safety expert, publicist, writer, and cyber-sleuth who spends her days buried in paperwork and evenings running amok in New York City - like a chicken with no head.
No stranger to a broken heart, Maria has canceled a wedding, dumped a philanderer, and had her heart unrecognizably pulverized a time or two. She’s earned her dues in the dating trenches and has decided it’s time to set the record straight.
Formerly a full-time journalist, her career includes the Associated Press, Gannett, AOL, Disney, ABC, CBS, NBC, NY-1, and WKDM-AM radio, where she hosted a Spanish-language talk show called Dos Latinas Hablando.
Maria is a member of Investigative Reporters and Editors, a professional organization dedicated to improving the quality of investigative reporting.
She is also a know-it-all big sister and keeps reference librarians on speed dial (just in case). She is now working on her second book.
